Poznań University of Life Sciences and the City of Poznań would like to invite you to an open lecture delivered by Prof. Christoph Randler, entitled "Animals in our life -
an individual and social dimension of animal diversity". The lecture will be held on 16 May at 2:00 p.m. in the lecture hall of the University's Centre of Veterinary Medicine.
Prof. Dr Christoph Randler (born in 1968) works at the Department of Biology of the University in Tübingen (Germany) where he is the head of the Academic Department of the Pedagogy of Biology. Before his academic career he worked as a biology teacher for 5 years, hence many aspects of his academic work refer to the issue of how to better relay knowledge about nature. His scientific ideas are so interesting that the results of his experiments and observation studies were published in prestigious journals, e.g. Animal Behaviour, Biological Psychology, Psychology, Health & Medicine, Personality and Individual Differences, Chronobiology International or Sleep Medicine. His papers were well received by the scientific community, as evidenced by a huge number of citations and the so-called Hirsch's index, positioning him as a number 1 person in biology education in the world!
He is also considered to be the world's leader of studies on chronobiology and its use in teaching biology, but also in understanding the human - animals relation.
As a hobby, he is a keen observer of birds.
