Rena F. Subotnik is the Director of the Center for Psychology in Higher Education and Education at the American Psychological Association and a consultant at the Juilliard School of Music. She is also the author and coordinator of the staff of researchers of the latest and most important concept of aptitudes "Mega Model".
Subotnik PhD has been awarded grants from the McDonnell Foundation, the National Science Foundation, the Institute for Education Sciences, Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, the American Psychological Foundation, U.S. Department of Education Javits program and the Spencer Foundation.
Subotnik PhD was the 2002 recipient of the National Association for Gifted Children NAGC Distinguished Scholar award, 2013 Mensa Lifetime Achievement award, and is a 2009 American Educational Research Association fellow.
