Poznań the most dynamically developing city in Poland
- Our aim is for the capital of Wielkopolska to be one of Europe's most important centres for companies in the modern business services sector. This allows our city to develop economically and for the people of Poznań to gain further attractive jobs. We have been successful in achieving this for years, as proven by winning yet another award - says Jacek Jaśkowiak, Mayor of Poznań.
The judges of the competition considered the growth of new investments in the modern business services sector and projects and initiatives that support the development of companies in the outsourcing and shared service centres sector. The judges included experts and consultants such as Andrew Hallam from Aspire, Romek Lubaczewski from PwC or Eliaz van Herwaarden from Colliers International.
Between 2022 and 2023, Poznań gained more than 20 companies from the modern business services sector. For example, the city has cooperated with location consultancy companies such as PAIH, CBRE, Colliers, EY and ABSL.
The capital city of Wielkopolska is currently home to around 150 companies in the sector, employing nearly 30,000 people.
- Poznań has all the assets to be a top location for companies in the modern services sector. Given all the advantages of our city - the talented staff, the location, the diverse economy and - which is extremely important - the support of the municipal authorities, including our office - adds Katja Lozina, Head of the Investor Relations Department. - We feel that in recent years Poznań has become even more attractive for companies in this sector and this is definitely the time for our city - she points out.
In addition to the award for the City, Poznań also received an award - in the "most active employer" category - for Miele Global Services, the company's shared services centre based in the capital of Wielkopolska.
The CEE Business Services Summit&Awards is one of the most prestigious events for the modern services industry in the entire CEE region. It brings together a range of independent experts, business representatives and city representatives. This year, the theme of the conference was trends in the modern services sector in 2024.
