Poznań reached the podium in the ranking "European cities and regions of the future 2025".

The fDi Intelligence report is a comprehensive assessment of European cities based on their economic, financial and business strengths. This year's report, prepared by independent experts from the Financial Times Group, analysed a range of macroeconomic data, investment levels, infrastructure, business support instruments and initiatives, and residents' quality of life. Poznań secured 2nd place for the third consecutive year in the "Business Friendliness" category, second only to Kraków and ahead of Frankfurt am Main, Manchester or Cologne.  The city also secured 2nd in the "Human Capital and Lifestyle" category, closely behind Kraków and ahead of Cologne, Lyon, Valencia and Stuttgart.

- Such a high position in the ranking confirms that Poznań is not only a space for investment but also a place worth living in and developing professionally - says Jacek Jaśkowiak, Mayor of the City. - This proves that we offer both investors and residents the best: a dynamic economy, high quality of life, and a friendly environment.

The capital of Wielkopolska was recognised for its Economic Potential (10th place) and Cost Effectiveness  (10th place), as well as its FDI Strategy (8th place).

- Poznań has been building its position as a centre of innovation and business for years - comments Katja Ložina, Head of the Investor Relations Department. - We are proud that our efforts are recognised internationally. This award shows that the capital of Wielkopolska is not just a place on the map but a space full of opportunities for passionate people with ideas. Companies choose Poznań because they know they will find support and a friendly environment for development here.

In the overall ranking, the capital of Wielkopolska took 5th place - two positions higher than last year. Poznań ranked ahead of, among others, Cologne, Gothenburg, Antwerp or Stuttgart.

This year's list surveyed 379 cities, which were divided by population into five categories: major, large, medium, small and micro cities. These cities were then assessed in further subcategories.
