Zespół Szkół z Oddziałami Sportowymi nr 1 consists of Primary and Secondary Sport School and it has a 40-year tradition of educating young pupils. It has a wide experience in educational projects aimed at developing student's personal competences and skills. Some examples of educational activities implemented by the school are photo exhibitions, painting exhibitions and historical exhibitions and they were all engaging art and similar methods into educational purposes. This experience gathered so far enables both students and teachers effectively develop social competences.
Professional team of school teachers, teacher trainers and psychologists is willing to test and implement new methods of improving student's competences through art and theatre activities.
Role in the project:
The School will be directly engaged in all activities in the project starting from the testing phase of the project, then evaluation process and developing educational materials based on it. First, the group of students and teachers who will take part in testing different educational methods will recruit from the School. Then, the team of school psychologists, teachers and teacher-trainers will conduct initial and final evaluation of social and personal competences of students and evaluate all tested working methods implemented during the project. Students and teachers will take part in theatre-emotional workshops. School will conduct their own activities during regular classes to test other methods of working with competences through art. In the end teacher-trainers from the School will cooperate with other partners on developing educational materials.
