The award of City of the Year to Poznań is evidence of its dynamic development and particular attractiveness to investors. The capital of Wielkopolska is an important centre attracting investments from various sectors, including real estate. The city authorities favour investors by supporting them in the implementation of modern, innovative projects, creating a friendly investment climate. This win confirms Poznań's growing position on the economic map of Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.
The City of the Year title was chosen by an independent jury consisting of recognised experts from the real estate, finance and investment management sectors. It included representatives of international consulting firms such as Cushman & Wakefield, JLL and CBRE, as well as leaders of investment institutions and specialists from the construction sector. The competition is non-commercial.
Among the factors taken into account were investor support, the city's overall achievements in the investment context, ongoing private projects (e.g. AND2, Nowy Rynek) and municipal projects (e.g. renovation of the Old Market).
The CEE Investment Awards Gala is one of the key events on the real estate market in Central and Eastern Europe. The forum serves to recognise the most important achievements and innovations, and also enables experts and investors to meet, creating a space for establishing new collaborations and exchanging experiences.
