Dragon Boat Race Festival - Rules and regulations
Venue and time: Malta Regatta Course (ul. Wiankowa 3), 17 June; 1.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.
Competition rules:
- The competition will be attended by the first 20 teams registered through registration form, maximum 5 from one country
- The participants will be competing in 10-person boats,
- The life jackets are obligatory for the contestants.
- The regatta will comprise timed 200-m races in series of 4 teams each
- After boarding the crews must proceed to the starting line. The starting command is "Ready - set - Go", where Go means the Start.
- The crews must obey the commands of the starter and the referees at all times.
- 4 crews with the best times from every race promote to finals.
- The crews must board the boat allocated to them about 20 minutes before the race. Each crew should report to boarding zone at least 10 minutes before boarding.
- The races are scheduled every 20 minutes.
For security reasons only boarding and disembarking crews can be in the boarding zone.
Prizes:
-Each participant receives an occasional t-shirt and pin of Host City Poznań
- first three teams are awarded with medals, gadgets of Host City Poznan and a case of Carlsberg beer (funded by Carlsberg, Official Sponsor of UEFA EURO 2012)
- all the participants receive vouchers for a meal
General plan of the tournament:
The technical briefing will take place on 17.06.2012 at 1pm - (distribution of information, T-shirts and pins, start lists, vouchers for meal)
The first race is scheduled to start at 1.30 pm.
The final is scheduled to start at 4pm.
The official closing ceremony of the tournament and the presentation of prizes is scheduled at 4.20 p m.
The organisation of the regatta:
The contestants are not charged for taking part in regatta.
The regatta organiser provides security for boats with equipment and helmsmen;
The organiser provides emergency services for the regatta.
The organiser provides life jackets which are obligatory for the contestants.
