Trained as a lawyer and economist, he graduated from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in both fields. He completed doctoral studies at this university in the field of law. Academic lecturer at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów. Graduate of postgraduate studies at the Cracow University of Economics in the field of accounting and finance, where he defended his thesis on the role of the treasurer in local government units. He holds a professional title of Master of Business Administration (MBA). He holds a certificate from the Minister of Finance authorising him to provide bookkeeping services. Since 8 December 2014. Mayor of Ustrzyki Dolne. In the local elections on 21 October 2018, he was re-elected.
In 2019, he ran for the mandate of Senator of the Republic of Poland, running with the support of all opposition parties. In the elections on 13 October 2019, he received a result of 81,983 votes in eight counties of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
Scholarship holder of the President of the Council of Ministers, as well as the Rector of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Participant in numerous economic and subject competitions, in which he was successful. Two-time President of the Faculty Student Government of the Catholic University of Lublin.
In 2006, he ran for a seat as a councillor in the town and commune of Ustrzyki Dolne from the Młodzi dla Ustrzyki electoral committee, of which he was a founder. In the 2011 parliamentary elections, he ran for the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in the Krosno-Przemyskie district from the PSL list. From 2011 to 2020, he was a member of the Polish People's Party. A community worker and member of several local associations. Since March 2021, he has been associated with the Poland2050 movement. Regional representative of the Poland2050 political party of Szymon Holownia.
In 2016, awarded a commemorative medal for actions for the safety of the Bieszczady district by the District Police Headquarters in Ustrzyki Dolne. In 2017, by a resolution of the Presidium of the Board of the Provincial Branch of the Polish TSO of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, decorated with a bronze medal for merits to firefighting, and in 2021 with a silver medal for merits to firefighting. In 2018, he was awarded the Medal of the 25th Anniversary of the Independent Self-Governing Policemen's Trade Union for supporting the activities of the Police.
Privately, he is Margaret's husband and Kalina's dad. Interested in sports, he is very passionate about football, especially Polish football at every league level. He runs recreationally and coaches amateur football. He enjoys Polish and Spanish cinema and books on political issues. In his free time he cooks.
