Huge support for the Poznan Fan Zone

To date (20th June) over 445 thousand people have visited the Poznan Fan Zone to experience the UEFA EURO 2012 ™. This is almost the same number that was forecast to scroll through Freedom Square during the ENTIRE tournament. Since the start of the championships, the Fan Zone has been a sporting and cultural centre of our region. However, now we're working our way up to the big event - the GRAND FINAL, the semi and quarter finals all of which will take place over the next 11 days together with over 140 hours of emotion, fun and entertainment ahead of us.
Now that the group phases are all finished, and today we have a day's break before entering into the Quarter Final state of the UEFA Euro 2012 Championships. So now it's time to assess the huge success this competition has been so far.
Right up the end of the tournament all games will be shown on the huge screen. The Fan Zone will broadcast all UEFA EURO 2012 ™ matches. The best teams from our continent will continue to play another nine meetings, including the most important - the final.
And just like the last 11 days, the Fan Zone activities in Poznan will not just be limited to sport. Before us lie ahead many important music events, including "Hip-Hop Zone," "Rock Pure Pleasure" with teams Luxtorpeda and Coma, a festival of "San Francisco Alternative Energy" from Die Antwoord, the City's nameday, where we will hear music from Ray Wilson and Alphaville, Matthew Maleńczuk, De Mono, elektrycznych Gitar and Hanna Banaszak. Poznan culture at Freedom Square will be represented by the Polish Dance Theatre and Theatre of kidnapped bodies (Teatru Porywacze Ciał).
One event in particular for your Poznan diary will surely be the Sports Day program (28-29.06: football tournament, Zumba, yoga, spinning classes and workshops healthy dietary cuisine presented by Thomas Jakubiak, taking part every day in one of television programs. Residents who live in the Freedom Square area will enjoy neighbour day on 24 June, in which the Tribune Comfort section invite all residents to come and enjoy the celebrations.
Children also will have a huge range of activities to choose from. In addition to the attractions offered by our Partners, the Junior Division will invite folk Kids Fun Festival (festiwal Kids folk Fun) and there will be performances by the children, football games and a chance to meet our Joint Implementation football mascots from Poland and Ukraine.
