Statue of St John NepomukThe statue located at the end of Wrocławska Street was erected in 1724. It represents the Bohemian priest who was drowned in the Vltava. The saint was considered an effective protector from floods and the statue was meant to protect the city from devastation caused by the frequently overflowing River Warta. The river flowed close to the city centre until the 1960s.
