House no. 47, The Winkler House
From the mid-sixteenth century, this house was owned by Błażej Winkler, an accomplished scribe of the Poznań City Council, who bequeathed it to his wife, Jadwiga Grodzicka, in 1551. The house remained in the hands of the Winkler family for almost 150 years.
The present neoclassical façade was modelled on a photograph of a house which once stood at 34 Wrocławska Street.
