Description of partner institution:
KiB is a non-profit childcare provider belonging to the public sports association of the region of Berlin. It runs 21 kindergarten centers all over Berlin. KiB understands early childhood education as being "in movement" in the broadest sense.
It defines five main educational areas:
- movement as a pedagogical principle
- communication and language
- music, rhythm and dance
- experiences through creative activities
- learning experiences through educational projects
Role in the project:
As the provider organization of the three participating kindergarten in this project, KiB will be supporting the pre-school teachers in implementing the learning through educational project approach. It will make sure that pre-school teachers get good support and guidance in-between bi-lateral visits and project training activities. KiB will be instrumental in disseminating the project know-how to all its centers during and after the project. It has signaled that the project comes timely to assist its own efforts in further developing the quality of its centers.
In addition, KiB is motivated to participate in the project as a number of its staff are Polish mother tongue speakers. It will support the three participating kindergarten in hosting the visits.
